Senior Series is a series of conversations with local experts focused on the unique and complex housing related issues facing mature homeowners and their families.  This month’s topic is Understanding Dementia. 

Dementia is a big umbrella diagnosis, with different symptoms, types, and underlying causes. Alzheimer’s disease is one, but there are many other brain disorders. Early dementia diagnosis matters because it allows for better management and quality of life for both the individual and their care partner. Learn all the benefits of why an early diagnosis matters. 

This program is geared toward older adults and their family members. It is free and open to the public.  No registration required. 

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
