Description
Presented by Liz McNeel, Keller Williams and Founder of Houston Senior Living Institute
Senior Series is a series of conversations with local experts focused on the unique and complex housing related issues facing mature homeowners and their families. This month’s topic is Preparing Your Home for the Long Haul.
Staying in your own home as you age is a common goal, but it is often more complex than people expect. This seminar takes a clear look at the realities of aging in place. We will discuss physical challenges within the home, evolving health needs, financial and legal considerations, family involvement, and the importance of social connection. Attendees will learn how to identify potential risks in their current living situation, why establishing a realistic backup plan is essential, and how professionals such as occupational therapists, attorneys, and home care providers can play a role in long-term planning. This program is geared toward older adults and their family members. It is free and open to the public. No registration required.
