Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be closed for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. Holds can be picked up through Thu, Jan 8 at Cinco Ranch Branch. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch

Beginning Fri, Jan 9, until the re-opening of the Cinco Ranch Branch building, all items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch on Jan 9 to reroute the items to your preferred location.

Renew an Item

Books on a Shelf

An item already checked out to you may be renewed one time, if the item has not been placed on hold by another patron. You may renew online or by phone.

To successfully renew online, your library card information must be current and up-to-date. If you cannot access your account, call us during library business hours.

To Renew Online:

  1. Click the red Login / My Account tab at the top of our website.
  2. Log in with your library account user name or barcode number and your library account password.
  3. Select the item(s) you want to renew.
  4. Click Renew Selected Items at the bottom of your list.
  5. A message will inform you of which items were successfully renewed and if any items could not be renewed.
  6. Click on Log Out when you are finished.

To Renew by Phone:

  1. Items may be renewed by calling the Circulation Department at any one of our library locations during business hours. A list of telephone numbers and hours for all library locations can be found here. Please be sure to have your library barcode number available, so that the staff may access your account. Staff cannot access your account without your library barcode number.
