Senior Series is a series of conversations with local experts focused on the unique and complex housing related issues facing mature homeowners and their families.  This month’s topic is The Truth About Dementia.

Dementia is a condition that affects millions of people worldwide, but many of us don’t fully understand what it is or how to lower the risk of developing it.  Join us to explore the facts about dementia and share actionable advice for maintaining brain health as you age.  Learn what dementia is and the risk factors associated with it; explore the latest research on preventative measures that can reduce your risk; get advice on maintaining and improving brain health; understand the importance of early detection and how to recognize the early warning signs of dementia; hear from medical and wellness experts; and get tips on how to create a plan for reducing your dementia risk.  Whether you’re concerned about your own brain health or that of a loved one, this seminar offers a comprehensive guide to understanding dementia and making informed choices to reduce the likelihood of developing it.

Liz McNeel, with Keller Williams Metropolitan and Founder of the Houston Senior Living Series will moderate a panel of experts in exploring this topic. This program is geared toward older adults and their family members. It is free and open to the public.  No registration required.
