Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be CLOSED for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch Branch. 

All items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch Branch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch to reroute the items to your preferred location.

Description

Guitarist, composer, and poet Susan McDonald combines science and music to showcase creatures of the marine aquarium in which she combines original music with video footage to create sublime live performances in which she is the “orchestra” and sea creatures are the “dancers.” Through video and music, Susan uses humor and wonder to not only teach about other life forms but to inspire delight in the natural world and to bring to life terms such as symbiosis, proboscis, camouflage, and aposematic. Join Susan on this delightful, aquatic adventure as she explores the underwater world of such strange and wonderful creatures as the Leafy Sea Dragon, the Pom Pom Crab, the Serpent Star and Dr. Evil, the coral banded shrimp.

This program is recommended for grades K-5. No late admittance.
