Program Description

Description

In honor of Women’s History Month in March, the Cinco Ranch Branch Library will host a weekly film series. This week, viewers will be treated to a double feature of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005, PG) - Meet Tibby, Bridget, Lena, and Carmen. As the summer before their 16th birthdays approaches, these four best friends with diverse family backgrounds and personalities hatch a plan to stay connected despite being separated for the entire season. The girls pass around a pair of secondhand jeans that, magically, look wonderful on all of them despite their different sizes, with each teen keeping the pants for two weeks.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008; PG-13) - With unraveled embroidery and fraying hems, the Pants are back for another glorious summer that four now college-aged friends will never forget.

Both films running time 2 hours long and will be played back-to-back starting at 12:00 noon.

This program is free and open to the public. Popcorn provided by the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library.
