Program Description

Description

Youth and teens in grades 4 - 12 are invited to develop their coding skills. The 6-week workshop will allow the youth to grasp the concept of game development and design.

Week 1: Introduction to Scratch program and coding basics

Week 2: Operators and variables 

Week 3: Conditionals and Iteration (forever loops and repeat blocks)

Week 4: Input and Sprite Animation

Week 5: Animating Sprites, Background music, sounds effects, and more.

Week 6: Platforming mechanics, collision detection, and more.

This class is for students in grades 4-12 and will take place in the Computer Lab.
