Description

Learn to prevent and manage diabetes and cardiovascular disease in this 6-week series.  In six sessions, participants will learn about:

  • nutrition
  • portion control
  • physical activity
  • diabetes & cardiovascular disease complications
  • self-monitoring
  • medication
  • stress management

Presented by Ana Veloz, Community Health Worker and Instructor.

Seating is limited and registration is required. Register once on the October 2 calendar entry to attend all six sessions. This series takes place on Mondays, October 2 - November 6.

PARKING AT UNIVERSITY BRANCH LIBRARY:

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
