Cinco Ranch Branch Library will RE-OPEN on Monday, March 9. 

Cinco Ranch Branch patrons with hold items available for pickup on or before March 6, 2026, currently being held at the Fulshear Branch Library, should visit the Fulshear Branch to pick up those items. If another location is more convenient, please contact the Fulshear Branch Library to have your items rerouted to your preferred pickup location.

 
Any hold requests filled after March 6 will be held at the Cinco Ranch Branch and will be available during its open hours. The pickup location will be indicated on your hold notification.

Description

Joins us as we enter a world of candy. Participants will have the opportunity to create various different chocolate sweets and candy, while enjoying a viewing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The feature is a 2005 film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story about a magical candy factory owned by an eccentric recluse. The movie stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Freddie Highmore as Charlie Bucket. Charlie is a poor boy who wins every young child’s dream, when he gets a chance to tour Willy Wonka’s amazing candy factory with four other – much naughtier – children. This movie is rated PG. This program is geared for youth in grades 4-8. This program is made possible thanks to the Friends of the First Colony Branch Library.
