WEATHER ALERT

All libraries, except Cinco Ranch Branch, will be OPEN normal hours on Saturday, January 24. On Sunday, January 25, George Memorial Library in Richmond (8 am – 5 pm), and Sienna Branch Library (1 pm – 5 pm) will be open as WARMING CENTERS ONLY. Library services will not be available on Sunday. Check back for updates. 

CLOSING

Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be CLOSED for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch Branch. 

All items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch Branch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch to reroute the items to your preferred location.

Description

 Youth in grades 4-8 are invited to paint mini pumpkins and enjoy a viewing of Fantastic Mr. Fox. In this 2009 stop-motion animated comedy, a feud between a wily fox (voiced by George Clooney) and three mean-spirited farmers escalates into a battle between the farmers and a community of cunning animals. Mr. Fox is torn between family responsibility and the thrill of midnight adventure. Other voices include Meryl Streep, Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe, and Bill Murray. This Oscar-nominated family film is rated PG. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Materials for this program were made possible by the Friends of First Colony Branch Library. This program is for youth in grades 4-8.
