WEATHER ALERT

All libraries, except Cinco Ranch Branch, will be OPEN normal hours on Saturday, January 24. On Sunday, January 25, George Memorial Library in Richmond (8 am – 5 pm), and Sienna Branch Library (1 pm – 5 pm) will be open as WARMING CENTERS ONLY. Library services will not be available on Sunday. Check back for updates. 

CLOSING

Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be CLOSED for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch Branch. 

All items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch Branch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch to reroute the items to your preferred location.

Description

Because of hurricane-related issues, the "Drum & Strum" youth program will not take place this week. In it's place, the children's theater performance of "Chicken Big," presented by Books Alive, will occur on Wednesday, July 17, at 2:00 and 3:00 pm.

Through the use of voice, drum, banjo, and guitar, musicians JAWAD and Joseph demonstrate the two basic elements of music: rhythm and melody. This interactive performance will introduce children to the concepts of tone, pitch, rhythm, and melody.  This program is made possible by the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library. 

Space is limited. Tickets are required for entry and will be handed out starting 1 hour before showtime. No late admittance.
