WEATHER ALERT

All libraries, except Cinco Ranch Branch, will be OPEN normal hours on Saturday, January 24. On Sunday, January 25, George Memorial Library in Richmond (8 am – 5 pm), and Sienna Branch Library (1 pm – 5 pm) will be open as WARMING CENTERS ONLY. Library services will not be available on Sunday. Check back for updates. 

CLOSING

Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be CLOSED for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch Branch. 

All items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch Branch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch to reroute the items to your preferred location.

AARP Tax Assistance

Description

Representatives from AARP will assist in the preparation of income tax returns by appointment only. Please schedule in person at the Sugar Land Branch Library Adult Reference Desk or by phone at 281-238-2151.

Bring the following items to your appointment: photo ID; Social Security card(s) for self, spouse, and all dependents; the last 2 years of tax returns; W-2, 1099s, and any other compensation received in 2022; unemployment compensation statements; and any other documents necessary to complete your return.
