Cinco Ranch Branch Library will RE-OPEN on Monday, March 9. 

Cinco Ranch Branch patrons with hold items available for pickup on or before March 6, 2026, currently being held at the Fulshear Branch Library, should visit the Fulshear Branch to pick up those items. If another location is more convenient, please contact the Fulshear Branch Library to have your items rerouted to your preferred pickup location.

 
Any hold requests filled after March 6 will be held at the Cinco Ranch Branch and will be available during its open hours. The pickup location will be indicated on your hold notification.

Library Supplier Update Baker and Taylor

December 2025

Baker & Taylor (B&T) - one of the largest distributors of books - announced that it will be ceasing operations. B&T was the primary book supplier for Fort Bend County Libraries (FBCL), and they have played a vital role in helping FBCL get popular authors and titles quickly. Unlike many other vendors – such as Amazon – B&T provided additional services that were designed specifically to support the needs of public libraries.

FBCL is actively working with other book vendors to have our supply of new materials to normal levels. We are prioritizing high-demand titles and items with existing holds to minimize disruptions for our patrons.

While we have been experiencing some delays and disruptions in receiving new materials, we're working closely with our vendors and County Purchasing to get everything back on track. You can expect to see an influx of new popular authors/titles being received over the next few weeks.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through this major transition in our materials acquisition process.
