Come join the Friends of First Colony Branch Library for their book sale. There are many great items to choose from, including new releases, fiction, nonfiction, children’s, classics, along with DVDs and CDs. All are available for a great price.

During this come-and-go activity time, a variety of board games, jigsaw puzzles, and more will be available for children (up through grade 8) and their caregivers to enjoy! Try out a new game and meet new friends!

Stories, songs, and action rhymes for families. This 30-minute program will conclude with an age-appropriate, take-home craft activity. We are unable to accommodate daycares and school groups in this program.

In collaboration with The Live Oak Playhouse (TLOP), Fort Bend County Libraries (FBCL) is bringing to you an immersive, interactive experience with poetry!

Join us to decorate aprons with fabric paint and stencils. Space and supplies are limited; registration is requested. 

For Grades 4 through 8 only. 

Children in grades 4-8 are invited to a Mario Kart Party for video games and crafts.

For children in grades 4-8.  Space is limited to first 20 participants. We are unable to accommodate daycares and school groups. 

Join us for an afternoon of art inspired by nature! Youth will enjoy painting with acrylics or sketching with pastels while listening to music. This program will be held in the library's lawn adjacent to the Community Garden, weather permitting.

Join us every week for Family Coloring Hour! Bring your own coloring pages and supplies or choose from our designs and supplies. We will play relaxing music while we color to help us unwind. 

Do you like building things? Join us for fun building activities! Participants will be able to build using LEGOs, building blocks, kapla blocks,  and much more. This program will be come and go.

Join us for a fun game night and social hour! Kids in grades 4-8 are invited to relax and play a variety of popular Nintendo Switch games like Mario Kart and enjoy some snacks with their friends.

The science of flying a kite. Students will decorate their own kites and learn what is needed for your kite to take flight. They will also learn all about Aerodynamics.

Stories, songs, and action rhymes for families. This 30-minute program will conclude with an age-appropriate take-home craft activity. Pajamas and blankets are welcome!
