Join us to create your very own Valentine's Day cards. Participants will have fun making cards using colorful paper, markers, and tons of stickers!

Youth in grades 4-8 are invited to create Pokemon felt badges. Join youth staff to turn ordinary felt material into your favorite Pokemon! Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Relax with a tasty soda or juice and paint to your heart's content! Join us for this free-form paint session where the only limit is your imagination! Templates provided for those who want them. 

Do you knit, bead, make rugs, hand stitch, or do any kind of handcraft?

Let's make friendship bracelets! All supplies will be provided.

Treat yourself to some sweet self-care by making your own sugar scrub. The concoctions you create in the program are yours to take home. This program is free to attend. 

Never painted with watercolors before?  No problem!  Come learn the very basics of using watercolor and create an easy, handmade valentine!

Calling all young builders! Join us for an afternoon of creativity and construction. We'll have Legos, magnetic tiles, and more for kids in grades K-5 to let their imagination run wild.

Children in grades K-5 are invited to participate in activities, crafts, and more!

Join us for an exploration of symmetry! Participants will fold hearts in half and create intricate patterns by arranging those hearts. They will learn about geometric concepts like vertices and sides.

Make your own comic book inspired by graphic novels like Dog Man! Learn how a story is structured and some basic comic drawing tips. Art in the Afternoon is a series of new monthly programs for youth in grades K-5. 

Join us to enjoy a yucky Valentine story and create a card and gift for your friends and family. Learn the art of quilling, or rolled paper, to make 3-D holiday cards and write a "love-ly" message on a flag to add to a festive pencil.

Join us for a hands-on creative project! Students in grades 4-8 will use colorful yarn to upcycle cups into cute pencil holders. Materials and refreshments provided courtesy of the Friends of the Sugar Land Branch Library.
