Find bargains galore at the Friends of the Albert George Branch Library in Needville! Browse a wide selection of adult and children’s books, magazines, puzzles, movies, and music, all at prices that are hard to beat. 

We are looking for volunteers to join the Friends of Sugar Land Branch Library. 

We will meet in the Genealogy & Local History Department at the George Memorial Library. We will offer a mini workshop where you can learn how to uncover your ancestors' stories.

AARP is assisting individuals with free tax returns on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from February 2 - April 13. This is by appointment only (ranging from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm).

During this come-and-go activity time, a variety of board games, jigsaw puzzles, and more will be available for children (up through grade 8) and their caregivers to enjoy! Try out a new game and meet new friends!

Join us for a craft carnival! Create from premade crafts or have fun making something new. Participants will use their imagination and creative skills using paper, glue sticks, and crayons.This program will be come and go. 

Have you been meaning to learn how to knit, but online videos don’t quite cut it?

Bring your laptop or notebook and join us for some quiet writing time. Participants will spend the majority of the hour writing. Then they will have the opportunity to share what they have been working on, if they wish to.

Discover the joy of chess in a friendly community! Whether you're here to practice, share tips, or simply enjoy the game, you'll find a great atmosphere for learning and connecting with other enthusiasts. No registration required.

Representatives from the AARP will assist in the preparation of income-tax returns.

Join us for our Spring Puzzle Fest 2026 – part speed puzzling competition, part puzzle & game swap, all fun!  Casual puzzling and refreshments will also be available.

Tired of the jigsaw puzzles and board games you’ve got at home?  Donate your gently used puzzles and games to the library, then “shop the swap” to find new-to-you items to take home. Bring board games and puzzles of 250

Gather a team of up to 4 people for our Speed-Puzzling Competition. Teams will have 2 hours to complete a 500-piece puzzle.  The team that completes their puzzle the fastest wins!

Join us for Teen Book Swap! Have books you don't want taking up space on your shelf? Bring them in and trade for a new read!
