Immerse yourself in the vibrant art of papel picado! Originating from Mexico, papel picado involves the intricate cutting of colorful paper to create decorative banners. Participants will learn about the cultural significance of papel picado in Hispanic celebrations and create their own unique designs. Explore traditional patterns and techniques while embracing the beauty and symbolism of this cherished art form. Materials generously provided by Friends of the Mission Bend Library.
