Call for Auditions

2025 Shakespeare by the Book Festival

The Merchant of Venice adapted and directed by Chepe Lockett

Performance Dates: October 17, 18, 24, and 25

 

At George Memorial Library, 1001 Golfview Dr, Richmond TX 77479 in the Bohachevsky Gallery (downstairs)

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script – sides to be provided

OPEN AUDITIONS! All roles available! (However, the role of Shylock has already been cast)

All ages welcome—however, speaking roles will be ages 16 and up.

Please provide a resume and headshot.

No appointment needed! Please attend any session (you are welcome to all)

A stipend will be provided for those who are cast.

 

Audition Dates:

Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1pm – 4pm

Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 1pm – 4pm
