The Mission Bend Branch Library is currently closed for repairs. Currently held items may be picked up at the front door by calling 832-471-5900 when you arrive at the library. When you call, have your barcode ready to give to staff. Staff will meet you at the front door with your items. Please have your library card and/or photo ID ready to show staff. Get ready to witness a unique experience that brings together words, music, and movement. On July 27, the George Memorial Library in Richmond will present its second edition of Wandering Words.

Celebrated local authors, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni and Saborna Roychowdhury will read excerpts from their work on the themes of independence and friendship.

A trio of performing artists - Maha Krishnan (Indian Carnatic vocals); Hope Cowan (Harp); Sandhya Raghuraman (Bharatanatyam dance) will present a musical and movement exploration of the reading.

They will follow this up with a short performance on the aforementioned themes.

The program will conclude with an interactive discussion with the audience.
