Reel Talk is a series of documentary screenings at University Branch Library with brief discussions of the films after they are shown.

In April, in honor of Earth Day, we’re viewing HBO’s Ice on Fire, a documentary about Earth’s escalating environmental crisis, and the cutting-edge research underway to reduce global temperature rises and help save the planet’s life systems.  This documentary explores topics such as: carbon emissions, climate change, environmentalism, and global warming.  It runs 1 hour and 28 minutes. 

This documentary is rated PG.  This HBO film is available in FBCL’s Access Video on Demand digital collection, and is being shown publicly with permission from Infobase.

Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4).  Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff.  Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated.  Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
