Program Description

Description

Reading to Critters is a program where a child can improve their reading skills by reading aloud to a trained dog! Volunteer dogs will be coming from the Caring Critters volunteer organization. Registered readers will each be given a ten minute window to read a book of their choice to a four legged reading partner. Dogs make very calm, low stress reading partners who listen attentively and never interrupt. Registration is limited and will open one week before the event at 4:30pm. Only children in kindergarten to fifth grade are allowed at this time. Please arrive ten minutes early prepared with a book or come earlier to choose a book from the library.
