Jennifer Lopez plays Selena Quintanilla-Perez in this biographical drama released in 1997. A Texas-born Tejano pop-singing sensation, Selena rose from cult status to an extraordinary career that transcended the Tejano scene to cross over into mainstream success before her tragic slaying at the age of 23.
