Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be CLOSED for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch Branch. 

All items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch Branch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch to reroute the items to your preferred location.

LOCATION UPDATE: The auditions will take place at the Missouri City Branch Library (1530 Texas Parkway, Missouri City, TX 77489) in The Pointe, the 3rd-floor meeting room space.

Fort Bend County Libraries in partnership with The Live Oak Playhouse are pleased to announce the return of “Walking in Verse: An Interactive Poetry Event” celebrating National Poetry Month, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at George Memorial Library, located at 1001 Golfview Drive Richmond, Texas.

The Live Oak Playhouse will hold auditions for featured performers for this event on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:30 pm at the Missouri City Branch Library (1530 Texas Parkway, Missouri City, TX 77489).  No appointments are required, but please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and review audition materials. Headshots and resumes are requested but not required. Auditions will consist of selections from each poet as cold readings, as well as engagement with director Stacy A. Bakri in an informal and improvisational format based on biographic information for each author.  All materials will be provided at the audition, but auditioners are invited and encouraged to read about each author and their work prior to the auditions. Please contact Artistic Director Stacy A.
