Program Description

Description

Welcome to FBCL’s very first virtual book club! We want to invite anyone 18 and up, who also enjoy the comfort of virtual meetings, to join us online every fourth Wednesday at 10:00am on Webex. We will be discussing Ann Pratchett's "The Dutch House," a novel about the story of a brother and sister, Danny and Maeve Conroy, who grow up in a mansion known as the Dutch House.  Set over the course of five decades, The Dutch House is a dark fairy tale about two smart people who cannot overcome their past. Despite every outward sign of success, Danny and Maeve are only truly comfortable when they're together.

The novel was a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

You can find the ebooks and eaudio books on the Libby app, or call George Memorial Library at 281-341-2604 to reserve a physical copy. Registration is required.
