Calling all ice-cream lovers! Put your ice-cream-making skills to the test and enter our 3rd Annual Homemade Ice-Cream Competition. Not a competitor? Not a problem! Come taste the ice creams and vote on your favorite. One lucky ice-cream artisan will win the People’s Choice Award and earn a prize.
So, whether you’re competing for the prize or simply want to sample some free ice creams, a good time is sure to be had by all!
Rules & Information:
All entries must include the list of ingredients used. If you don’t have a complete list at the time of registration, you will need to submit it on or before June 27. Entries without a list of ingredients will not be accepted.
Recipes must not include eggs or alcohol.
A minimum of 2 quarts must be provided for judging.
One recipe per competitor.
Ice cream must be brought to the library between 1:15 and 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 27.
Competitors must provide their own ice-cream scoop.
Competitors will scoop out samples of their ice cream for the public to taste until 3 pm.
Park inside the gated lot (VISITOR LOT 4). Bring your parking ticket with you inside the library to be validated by library staff. Parking is FREE if you get your ticket validated. Parking outside the gated lot may result in a parking violation from the University of Houston.
