Description
TAG is made up of teens from our community who actively promote teen library services to their peers and participate in creating and implementing teen library programming. Each TAG member serves for one school year (September – May). Being a member of TAG includes attending TAG meetings, planning, promoting, and presenting teen library programs, and writing brief book recommendations. TAG members will develop skills like communication, collaboration, time management, and leadership.
Requirements to Apply:
- High School Grades 9-12 (2025-2026 School Year)
- 1 letter of recommendation from a non-relative adult due by application deadline
- Available 5 hours per month to attend meetings and other TAG events
- A love of, or enjoyment of, Fort Bend County Libraries
TAG Library Branches:
**Selected teens will serve on one of the 6 Teen Advisory Groups for the entire school year.
- Cinco Ranch Branch Library, Katy
- Fulshear Library
- George Memorial Library, Richmond
- Missouri City Branch Library
- Sugar Land Branch Library
- Sienna Branch Library, Missouri City
Meeting Dates:
- Meetings will take place in-person at their respective libraries and also virtually.
- Attendance at ALL meetings is mandatory. Up to 2 meetings may be attended virtually.
- Cinco Ranch TAG: The 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5:00-6:00 pm
- Fulshear TAG: The 2nd Wednesday of every month from 4:30-5:30 pm
- George Memorial TAG: The 4th Monday of every month from 5:00-6:00 pm
- Missouri City TAG: The 4th Wednesday of every month from 5:00-6:00 pm
- Sugar Land TAG: The 3rd Thursday of every month from 4:30-5:30 pm
- Sienna TAG: The 2nd Tuesday of every month from 6:00-7:00 pm
