The George Memorial Library in Richmond and the Library Administration Building will open at 12 pm on Mon, Feb 9, because there will be no water in the buildings. Notary services will also be unavailable during this time.

CLOSING

Cinco Ranch Branch Library will be CLOSED for several weeks starting Mon, Jan 12, because we are replacing carpet throughout the building. The outdoor book drop will remain OPEN during the time the building is closed, and library items may be returned at Cinco Ranch Branch. 

All items that were requested to be held at Cinco Ranch Branch should be picked up at Fulshear Branch library. If another location is more convenient for you, please contact Fulshear Branch to reroute the items to your preferred location.

Description

Released in 1941, this Academy Award-winning drama-mystery – produced, directed by, and starring Orson Welles -- is widely regarded as the greatest American film ever made. Alone at his fantastic estate known as Xanadu, publishing tycoon Charles Foster Kane dies, uttering only the single word “Rosebud.” While scrambling to uncover the significance of the word, reporters comb through the fabulous tale of the rise to wealth and power – and ultimate fall – of a complex man. The story is generally considered to be based on the life of William Randolph Hearst. The film is rated PG.
