Program Description

Description

Do you have that one book sitting around you’ve always meant to read and never had time?

Is your goal to read a certain number of books by the end of the year, but need a place where you can get cozy amongst like-minded people and read continuously, without interruption?

The Adult Summer Reading Lounge program is designed for people like you! At various locations throughout the library system during the month of July, we will be setting up a quiet, cozy space in the Meeting Room where we’ll provide laid-back music, gentle lighting, floor space, tables, and chairs for you to get a comfy reading spot. You are highly encouraged to bring your book/ebook/audiobook and anything that will make reading a comfortable experience, such as blankets, pillows, cushions, slippers, and more!

After we spend a complete hour reading, that’s when the party begins! Feel free to discuss what you read with the person next to you, even if they’re complete strangers. You might walk away not only with a committed hour of reading, but a new friend!

Registration is required. Seating is limited.
