All Fort Bend County Libraries locations will CLOSE at 5:00 pm Wed, Dec 24, and will be CLOSED from Thu, Dec 25 through Sun, Dec 28, 2025, for Christmas.

2025 Book Fest: Yosakoi Dance with Clements High School

Description

The Clements High School Yosakoi Dance Team will perform Yosakoi, a kind of dance that originated in Kouchi prefecture in southern Japan. It combines traditional and modern song and dance and is iconic for its use of naruko, wooden clappers held in the hands.

The Clements Yosakoi Club was established in 2009, and performs at several events throughout the year, including the Clements International Festival and the Japan Festival in Houston.
